ARC1301 Readers are adopted for the Sofia Metro

We are pleased to announce that LECIP ARCONTIA has supplied 100 units of ARC1301 RS232 OEM Readers to our Bulgarian Partner Antima this year. Antima is a leading company in Bulgaria that offers system integration and development of software applications, specialized controllers, firmware, smart card, and barcode-based systems. LECIP ARCONTIA and Antima have been a partner for over 10 years.

ARC1301 that Antima has chosen is a high-performance contactless ISO 14443 A/B smart card reader easily integrated into many different smart card applications. The readers are embedded in turnstiles at metro stations that will be extended in Bulgaria's capital Sofia. The current implementing project is an extension of Line 3 of Sofia metro, stage 3 and the section is 3 km long which has 3 metro stations and passes by the Hadzhi Dimitar district, Georgi Asparuhov Stadium,Production area Hadzhi Dimitar, Suhata Reka district, Levski district and residential area Levski.
In Sofia, over 1.3 million people are living and the total number of people living and working in the extension parts of the city is about 70 thousand people with the prospect of an increase to more than 90 thousand people. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
